Winter League Week 5 - S/Ford Multiplier

Apologies for the delay in sending out this report and of course all the other information pertaining to the WL, such as Handicaps, Funds ect.

This Format can be cruel and tough to take, especially if you play well and your partner does not, as there is nothing worse than birdying a hole with a shot and your partner blobs it (4 x 0 = 0 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️) - and I am sure there where a few shaking heads and Tutting going on this Sunday. Absolutely Blowing the field away this week where The Ginger Wizard Flanny and his sidekick Macca the Mackerel with their great score of 85 points - some score that as Flanny amassed 43 and Macca 37 individually - just missing out on a 20 point haul on 6, as Flanny missed his 3 for 5 points and had to settle for his Birdie like his partner for 16 points - Never Mind Flanny you wont be getting a shot on there for a few weeks now Pal. In 2nd place some 7 points back on 78, came Phil Neary and my ex WL Partner Gaz 'Border Patrol' Waites, good day at the office for both pairs, with the exception of the Winners losing 3.3 shots each and Phil 2 and Gaz 2.6.......Bit Hits on the Handicaps.

Quite a few players have now reached their Maximum Handicap permitted in the league after this week, they are noted on the results sheet and in Red on the Handicap Sheet, a few more are close to this as well.

This coming Sunday (Weather permitting) is a nice and simple format as we shall Play 4BBB - a lot have arranged their Match-play Knockouts for this Sunday or next, and a couple have arranged their Best cards, but I could do with a few more arranging their Best cards as well please.

Unfortunately James (Handicap Guru) is not back from Disneyland Paris until tomorrow, so all Handicaps have been updated Manually this week and appear on both the results sheets and Handicap Sheet.

If by any chance we do not play this Sunday, my contingency is to move all players to the exact same times (give or take 10 mins) the Following Sunday - Priority will be given to all Matchplay (Jones Jug)  pairs. Some have also arranged to play next week, so I will pair those up as well, but it may leave some as 2 balls because of that, so apologies in advance but feel free to move about to pair up - Hopefully we wont have to resort to the above - but just in case, the plan is there and I will send a message out on Whatsapp to ensure all are available to play. Further to that I will cancel the Foursomes format due to be played on the 7th, to a format we can play matchplay in, and put the Foursomes Format back a couple of weeks.

Finally - It was sad to hear the passing of Jaromir Walica last week. Jaromir was a former member of the WL for many years (With his Partner Bob McGregor) and our thoughts go out to his family at this sad time, RIP Jaromir.
