NWMGA Team Match - Week 6 Rochdale Home

Well after the hiding we took last week at Pike, we needed to pick ourselves up and get a good result against the champions from 2 years ago, Rochdale. Unfortunately I was not available for an on course live update this week due to being invited to play at the JCB course in Uttoxeter - What an experience that was - But this is about the lads not me, I just wanted to apologise for the short and may not even be brief report from the individual matches.

Markham Bullard

Morecambe's (Giving 1 shot) turn to be first out this week, and I am happy to report he maintained his 100% record and recorded his 2nd win in 2 games Winning 6n4 👏👏👏👏👏

Kev Simmons

Well the Machine (Giving 1 shot) looks like he needs a good service as he coughed and spluttered to a loss of 2 down - Looks like there will be an enforced lay off now until he is up and running again, which wont be to long 🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓

Dave Flanagan

Flanny (Flat Match) maintained his flying start to the season with another win making it 3 wins out of 3, albeit all at home - still a great record to be proud off - Flanny now sits in the all important 3rd spot in the OOM with 9 Points - he Won 4n3 👏👏👏👏👏

Gaz Hall

Gaz (Flat Match) also maintained his great start to the Season, winning 5n4 to make it 3 wins out of 3 (2 at home and 1 away) Gaz sits in 2nd place in the OOM with 10 points👏👏👏👏👏

Steve Hamer

Hammer (Flat Match) was back in the team after a couple of weeks away due to losing his last match - and he bounced back in fine form, thrashing his opponent 6n4 👏👏👏👏👏

Si Daniels

Si (Giving 2 shots) was back in the Number 1 slot and he also maintained his form and now has a record of 3 wins and 1 draw from his 4 matches and sits at the top of the OOM with 11 points - Si won 3n2 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Colin Stephenson

Cosmo (Giving 3 shots) after coming down on his handicap was always going to find it difficult giving his opponents 3 shots - However he came out of it with a creditable Halve, and maintain his unbeaten start to the season, winning 2 and drawing 1 👏👏👏👏👏

Josh Carr

Josh was last one out on the night and due to a last minute change to the Rochdale team - he ended up giving 5 shots for the 2nd week on the trot - he will i am sure be dealt a fairer hand in respect of parity possibly with upcoming matches. He eventually lost 1 down, but it has to be said he can claim a moral victory with that result. However there is no escape from the 🪓🪓 - Josh blame Luke Donald taking his Family for the loss (when you know you know)
